In our Vocational School, not only in the culinary and tourism hotel management programs but also in the tourist guiding program, practical training is provided. As part of the fully practical training, technical trips are organized to provide experiential learning.
Eco-Tourism Guiding
The designation of Burdur province as an Eco-Tourism Development Region in the 2023 Tourism Strategy and the tourism potential of the region also guide practical training. In this context, our Vocational School's Tourist Guiding Program has started organizing technical trips focusing on Eco-Tourism Guiding training.
In the technical trip conducted under the coordination of our Vocational School's Deputy Director and also one of the teaching staff of the Tourist Guiding Program, Lecturer Uğur Tozkoparan, and one of the Tourist Guiding Teaching Staff, Lecturer Dr. Faruk Gökçe, practical Eco-Tourism Guiding training was provided. During the technical training trip, students receiving tourist guiding education experienced guiding by making presentations.
The technical trip focused on the surroundings of Burdur and Isparta, which have eco-tourism potential. In this context, Yarışlı Lake and Burdur Lake located in Burdur, and Eğirdir Lake, Hızır Bey Mosque, Dündar Bey Madrasah, Eğirdir Castle, Kovada Lake, Kovada Lake National Park, and Yazılı Canyon Nature Park located within the borders of Isparta were visited.
Our Vocational School will continue its practical training activities considering Burdur's tourism attractions.
