In the 2022-2023 Academic Year, an orientation training program was held for our Vocational School students on Wednesday, November 9, in the amphitheater of our School. To better introduce our district and University to the students, they were first shown our University's promotional CD. Following the university introduction, the opening speech was made by the Director of Yeşilova İsmail Akın Vocational School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mert GÜRLEK, who gave many recommendations to our students, stating that our Vocational School is an exemplary vocational school with sectoral application areas in terms of tourism, and thanks to these application areas, our students can receive a higher quality education both theoretically and practically. He concluded his speech with wishes for our students to have a healthy, happy, successful, beautiful, and memory-filled university life.
Assistant Director Lecturer Dr. Ali ELİBOL, who made the promotional presentation of our School, provided information about the operation of our Vocational School, academic information, and units operating outside the academy. In the presentation, information was given on topics concerning students such as the academic calendar, registration renewal, ECTS and Weighted Grade Point Average, Midterm and Final Exams, Attendance status, Evaluation of exams, Relative evaluation system, leave and registration freezing, Excuse exams and permissions, Grade improvement, Announcement and objection of exam results, double major and minor, internship, announcement procedures on our website, maximum duration, Additional exams 1,2, single course exams, and graduation procedures, academic and administrative structure, disciplinary procedures, and information about MAKÜ Social.
After the briefing, District Police Chief Commissioner Oğuz Kağan DOĞAN, District Gendarmerie Commander Lieutenant Murat ASLAN, Yeşilova District Governor Mr. Erdem YENİSOY, and Yeşilova Mayor Mr. Mümtaz ŞENEL, who attended our orientation program, met with our students, listened to the problems they experienced in the district and in general, and offered solutions.
