Dear Students;

Due to the global "Corona Virus Pandemic" faced by the whole world, the necessity of taking some measures to protect our individual and societal health has arisen. We need to spend the process at home as much as possible by adhering to the hygiene and social distance rule. First of all, we also desire for education and training to be conducted face-to-face formally. However, to fight much more strongly against a global epidemic, we urgently need to end our physical mobility. Otherwise, it is likely that we will face much more severe consequences. In this context, our University Senate has transitioned to Distance Education with the decisions taken on 26.03.2020. In this regard;

1. The 2019-2020 spring semester, which was interrupted on 16.03.2020, will be completed via the "Distance Education Management System" as of 30.03.2020.

2. Courses conducted in different branches by the same instructors in the same department or program have been combined.

3. Our students will be able to participate in and watch the courses synchronously or asynchronously via mobile phone/tablet.

4. Students who cannot attend the synchronous course due to technical problems will be able to watch the recordings of the courses until the end of the term.

5. Regarding the conduct of associate and undergraduate courses;
a) The "30.03.2020 course week (the first week of distance education)" when the courses will start will be a general review week.
b) In the midterm/final exams to be held in the newly arranged academic calendar, students will be held responsible for the course presentations uploaded to the Distance Education Management System.

6. Regarding course applications and practical courses;
a)     Workplace Practice, On-the-Job Training, Field Study in Health Institutions, Summer Internship Applications will be conducted at a later date to be determined (probably in the summer period).
b) Additionally, the theoretical parts of the "theoretical + practical courses" existing in our other academic units such as the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Sports Sciences, Faculty of Health Sciences, School of Tourism Management and Hotel Management, Bucak School of Health, Burdur Food Agriculture and Livestock Vocational School, Gölhisar Health Services Vocational School, Burdur Health Services Vocational School, which will be announced on their websites, will be conducted via distance education. The practical parts will be conducted on a schedule to be determined at a later date.

7. The conduct of the Pedagogical Formation Education and other certificate programs conducted by our University has been suspended, and the updated schedule of the programs will be announced at a later date.

8. The B2 and C1 courses of the TÖMER Turkish Education Program conducted within our University for our foreign students will be continued with the Distance Education Management System as of April 6, 2020.

9. Decisions regarding midterm, final, and make-up exams will be announced in the future.

10. Although the summer school application is unlikely this year, it will be re-evaluated in the future depending on developments.

11. Our greatest desire will be to hold a graduation ceremony in the summer months with the normalization of the situation.

12. Since March 30, Monday is the first day of distance education, some application or technical problems may arise. However, since the lecture notes and recordings will be registered in the system, you will not have any loss. There are necessary explanations and video recordings regarding the management of the system on the main page of our University. Additionally, you will be able to receive technical support by writing to the specified email address about the problems you experience.
