Dear Students;
In line with the decisions taken by the Council of Higher Education due to the Coronavirus pandemic to ensure that education processes can continue as uninterrupted as possible, our university quickly held a senate meeting and made the necessary arrangements, determining the principles regarding the conduct of courses through our University's Distance Education System. Within this scope, I present the decisions taken by our senate for your information.
1. Necessary preparations have been made in all academic units of our university, and courses at associate, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels will be conducted through our university's distance education system starting from 30.03.2020.
2. Courses will be conducted synchronously (simultaneously) within the framework of the program announced by academic units and will be recorded in the system. Students will be able to log into the system from their location at the class time specified in the announced program and participate in the class live.
3. Students who cannot participate in synchronous classes due to internet limitations, technical inadequacies, etc., will be able to participate asynchronously at a later time by watching the recorded class and will be considered as having attended the class.
4. An information and introduction presentation on how our students will participate in classes through the distance education system will be shared with them soon.
5. Courses that are required to be conducted practically, such as laboratory, workplace practice, internship, will be conducted intensively at a later date determined.
6. Midterm and final exams of the courses will be conducted at a later date determined by our university, and detailed information on the subject will be provided according to developments.
I want all our students to know that some courses at our university have already been offered through the distance education system for 4 years, that courses can be conducted smoothly with the development of the system's technical capacity, and that all resources have been mobilized at this point.
Additionally, all information regarding new developments and arrangements related to the process will be shared on our university's website and social media accounts, and I kindly request that no information not shared by our university be trusted and that calmness be maintained during this process.
Stay Home, Stay Safe
