Yeşilova İsmail Akın Vocational School conducted a technical and educational trip to Istanbul. On April 11-12-13-14, under the coordination of our school's Tourist Guidance Program Faculty Members, Acting Head of the Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Services Lecturer Özcan ÖZDEMİR and Acting Head of the Department of Travel, Tourism and Entertainment Services Lecturer Faruk GÖKÇE, the technical trip included visits to destinations such as “3rd Ahmet Fountain, Topkapı Palace, Archaeology Museum, Sultan Ahmet Mosque, Museum of Islamic Art, Hippodrome, Obelisks, German Fountain, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, City Walls, Galata Bridge, Galata Tower, Miniatürk, Süleymaniye Mosque, Spice Bazaar, Dolmabahçe Palace, Bosphorus Tour, Taksim Square and Istiklal Avenue.” The technical and educational trip, conducted within the scope of courses such as “Tourist Guidance, Art History, Archaeology, Mythology, History of Religions, Anatolian Civilizations, Tourism Geography, and Travel Agency and Tour Operation,” allowed students to see high-level information on-site and practically. The Istanbul trip significantly contributed to how students will perform their professions. The trip was completed smoothly without causing any negativity.
