Experiential Learning in Tourism Education: Fully Applied Education Model
A tourism education complex was established near Lake Salda, which is visited by many domestic and foreign tourists every year for its unique beauty, in a location intertwined with nature.
On the ground floor of the education complex, there is the Tourism Vocational School; on the second and third floors, the Salda Lavender Hill Hotel operates.
Within the scope of the fully applied education model, the courses included in the curriculum were integrated with hotel management. Students began to receive education intertwined with practice. Thus, a unique example of fully applied education was created.
Additionally, within the scope of the education model, technical trips are made to Turkey's leading tourism destinations, and business internships are also conducted during the summer months. Thus, students develop their knowledge, skills, and abilities both at the Vocational School and in the field, intertwined with practice.
